Well, its been a long time coming as I’ve been sooooo busy sewing for Farris. The blocks for February, March and April are finally finished. I have been trying to make my hand sewing stitches more even.
It was hearts for Valentines day…
It had to be Peter Rabbit for March, as I’d just finished my Peter Rabbit quilt for Farris!
In April I decided to use the lettering stitches that came with my Bernina machine. Looking out into the garden and seeing all the spring flowers inspired me. I used a King Tut multicoloured thread to spell out the flower names: daffodils, crocus, tulips and primroses.
As to the next block, all I keep remembering is my primary school May Day celebrations, when I enjoyed joining in with the maypole dancing. My favourite flower from childhood is the bluebell, so watch this space to see what I design!
Happy sewing to all!
