Creative from childhood, sewing is my absolute passion in life. I am a qualified teacher who has taught young children for many years and originally started teaching as a Head of Department for Needlework, Craft and Pottery. I now divide my time between private tuition for children with dyslexia and other learning difficulties alongside quilting and sewing, writing my blog and of course sewing for my family and myself!
My favourite crafts are sewing, patchwork and quilting. I like to make small gifts, as well as quilts. Creating something new, something beautiful, something unique and something handmade gives me such great pleasure! Giving homemade items as gifts is thrilling for me and always well received.
I currently sew on my Bernina QE440 machine and have an overlocker as well. I enjoy embroidering and personalizing gifts using my Janome embroidery machine.
I hope you enjoy my blog and if you are as keen on sewing as me, I always love to hear of other people’s projects!
