I’ve not blogged recently about all the baby things I’ve made, as I have spent soooo much time at my machines. I’m only going to show my snuggler infant swaddlers, as I cannot post piccys of my quilts yet, because the colours will help you to guess the sex of my long awaited grandchild! I love the bright coloured stripes on the inside of the snuggler with the little animals.
I am truly thrilled with the finish of these snugglers that I made in flannel using Lotta Jansdotter’s pattern. There are only two pattern pieces and they fitted together really easily, even adding the Velcro was a cinch. It is a free download you can find here – http://makezineblog.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/lotta_snuggler_pattern.pdf I also borrowed her book from the library entitled, Simple Sewing for Baby: 24 Easy Projects for Newborns to Toddlers, and used the patterns in the back of it.
Before I made the snugglers I decided to wash and tumble the flannel to avoid shrinkage when the snuggler was washed. I hope the snuggler comforts my grandchild and I am really looking forward to swaddling the little one in a cosy warm snuggler soon!
